what is your philosophy?
where simple means elegance! This industry brings something for someone: you can find fancy to simple, elegant to x-rated, and from thousands of dollars to a few hundreds. that's why if you are looking for something a little less complicated, more personal, but elegant- then you have come to the right place!
how long have you been in business?
We have been providing cakes and cookies for a while already, perhaps a few years. Until recently, we decided to share our passion for decorating cakes and cookies with the public. you can rest assure that our experience comes with our heritage.
where is your store located?
we do not operate a store front, we work by appointments only.
how do I order?
it's simple! Just submit a form to contact us with details of your request and we will respond to you within 24 business hours. if you rather talk to someone on the phone, you can reach us at (416) 844-0926 M-F 6PM-10PM and Weekends 10AM-4PM. you can also reach us by email at info@lesugar.com. we will go over all the details with you and set up convenient and accessible to book your event.
how long in advance do I have to book my request?
cookies - at least 10 days before the event.
This will give us both enough time to make any preparation and to go over the details with you. If you need an order rushed, feel free to contact us and we will try to accommodate you.
is there a minimum or maximum requirement?
cookies - minimum order of 2 dozens and maximum order at our discretion..
do you do really elaborated decorations for my cake?
as our slogan says, where simple means elegance! we don't create decorations that will increase our prices as one of our goals is to serve the average pocket.
do you make 'fake' cakes?
yes we do. if you don't have hundreds of guests to your venue, but want to make your cake look more voluptuous; you can choose to have a fake cake decorated. these looks just like a real one, no one will tell!
how about 'slab' cakes?
we do those too. if you want to pay for a small decorated cake, and have plenty more in the kitchen to be able to serve all your guests, we can bake a cake with no decorations.
what kind of flowers do you use?
we work with pretty much what you have in mind. we can create delicate flowers in gumpaste (usually included in the priced designed or at an extra charge may apply), you can use silk flowers, or real flowers (only non-toxic / non-pesticides) will be allowed.
if using real flowers, we will have to agree on who would provide these and what kind.
can you deliver?
it depends on what area, we will provide free delivery within GTA for orders of $300 or more. All other orders will be charged a discretionary fee. we reserve the right to choose wether we deliver to certain areas or not.
do you require any deposit to book my order?
yes we do. there is a 50% non-refundable deposit required to book your event. remaining balance will be due seven (7) business days before the event. this will ensure we reserve production time for your order. deposits and remaining balance amounts can be paid in cash, or through Paypal.
